About
The Wohnzimmer EP is the second EP by Beatsteaks, marking the beginning of the band's collaboration with the producer Moses Schneider. It was given away for free at their concert in Columbiahalle on 21.12.2002, the final concert of the Living Targets tour. The EP consists of only covers and it was recorded live. While recording Hey Du, Moses Schneider thought frontman Arnim Teutoburg-Weiß' pronunciation was weird, so guitarist Peter Baumann ended up singing it. In german Wohnzimmer means living room; the band decided to name the EP that because they saw the studio as their living room for the three days they recorded.
The EP got rereleased in April of 2021.
