What's Coming Over You

What's Coming Over You was written by Thomas. His initial idea behind the song was for it to be a piano-ballad, however, the band was against that and decided to rewrite it as a rock song. The piano version would find it's way into concerts years later.

It was a very difficult song to get done with in the studio. According to their producer Moses Schneider, the outro appearing on the album is the only time they got it right.

Even tho it used to be a staple during the 2000s, this song was played rather irregularly during recent year. During their Boombox tour, this song, along with Ain't Complaining, was played as a piano version. The song hasn't been played since before their break in 2019. However, it's likely it'll return at some point.

[Intro]

Don't let go

I go down with you

Don't let go

[Verse 1]

You offer and feature

Let anyone see you

Now this what I do

To charm and please you

So how can you stumble?

Let anyone run you

Whatever will come true

What will be will be

[Pre-Chorus]

Why don't you take your time

To be the next one in line

Don't let go

Don't let anyone know

[Chorus 1]

What's coming over you, oh

Coming over you

Coming over you

What's coming over you

Coming over you

[Verse 2]

You're nervous by nature

And just sitting next to

A love and a statue

To look and live up to

So how can you stumble?

Let anyone run you

Whatever will come true

What will be will be

[Bridge]

So don't let go

I go down with you

Don't let anyone know

What's coming over you

[Chorus 2]

Yeah

Coming over you

Coming over you

Coming over you

Coming over you

What's coming over you

Coming over you

Coming over you
