Vision
Vision's memorable wall of a riff, played by all 3 guitarists at the same time, was written by Thomas Götz.
According to Arnim, this song was one of the difficult ones for him to master. During it's writing process, he was insecure about presenting his vocal ideas to Thomas. After sitting down and tracking guide vocals with the help of Peter and Bernd, that fear was finally overcome.
This song, sadly, never got much presentation in live-sets, being played just 11 times before being abandoned completely after the band's Boombox tour.
[Verse 1]
I've been watching from behind the scene
I worry you've been giving bad routine
Forget the damage that they've done to you
I make sure I keep an eye on you
[Pre-Chorus 1]
Sick now, are you meant to be?
Broke down on disillusion street
Shake now, got to hear me out
I come down, this is my way out
[Chorus]
Got a vision you can live in, whoa-oh-oh-oh
Got a vision to be given, whoa-oh-oh-oh
Got a vision you can live in, whoa-oh-oh-oh
Got a vision to be given
[Verse 2]
Revolving all around the cash machine
It don't work, you know what I mean
There ain't no time to count the friends you've got
There ain't no time to miss a thing you've lost
[Pre-Chorus 2]
Sick now, are you meant to be?
I broke down on disillusion street
Shake now, got to hear me out
I calm down and I figure out
[Bridge]
And I keep my big black eye on you
I keep my big black eye on you
I keep my big black eye on you
I keep my big black eye on you, you, you
You, you, you
