I don't care as long as you sing is one of the band's favourite Beatsteaks songs ever.

Originally, it's demo was a way faster punk-rock song. After being told he should play the bassline with his fingers, Torsten accidentally came up with the bassline we know and love today. It took them a long time to get this song right. Even after Smack Smash already released, they kept working on this song for the single-release. Arnim sang this song while laying down to get it's feeling right. Demba Nabé sings the backing vocals.

It was also a difficult song to get down live. According to them, it took them up to around Limbo Messiah to be able to play it flawlessly. The live rendition is slightly different due to having an extended outro. It has been performed at almost every concert since it's release and is one of their most played songs.
