Black Rose
Black Rose was released on the single of Summer, making it one of Living Targets' many B-sides. It's a country parody of Shut Up Stand Up, which has surprisingly been played live a handful of times. Its first performance dates back to an unknown Uncle Sally*s event in 1999.
The song was recorded during their first session in Cologne during late 2000 and was produced by Uwe Sabirowsky.
[Verse 1]
I quit
This conversation
You're right and I am done
I think you make
Yourself a victim
There's nothing good enough
[Verse 2]
There's only one
One colour
A deep grey and a bitter taste
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know what's there if you don't try
[Chorus]
(You are the black rose)
Shut up stand up
You are the black rose
[Verse 3]
I quit
This conversation
You don't let your feelings show
I don't know
I don't know
I don't know what you got inside
[Bridge]
You are the black rose
Shut up stand up
You are the black rose
Shut up stand up
Check it, check it, check it, check it
[Verse 3]
By the way I wanna have a good time with you
It's Friday night and I wanna go out
I need some air and a place to go
So won't you shut the fuck up
