2 O'Clock
2 O'Clock was one of the first few songs written for Launched. It appeared on a 4-track demo the band sent out to labels in early 1998.
It's first known performance dates back to Thomas' first concert. The song would consistently open concerts from summer 1999 to early 2002. It was then moved to the second quarter of the set and was ultimately dropped after the Living Targets tour. Surprisingly, the song sneaked it's way back into the a setlist on 7th June 2023.
[Verse 1]
I wanna do a million things
And some of them tonight
I wanna be a million places
I guess I'm looking for a light
I'm gonna loose my head
I'm going down
I'm gonna loose the man I am
(Nothing remains)
[Chorus]
I speak against the wall
Nothing comes back at all
No feedback anywhere
And nobody's there
But I waited a bit too long
So it's hard for me to change
I grab everything I can
Everything I can that's all
[Verse 2]
And when it matters then I'm blind
Nothing is alright
I only see what I wanna see
It breaks me up again tonight
I'm gonna loose my head
I'm going down
I'm gonna loose the man I am
(Nothing remains)
[Outro]
I speak against the wall (Speak, speak, speak, speak)
Nothing comes back at all (Speak, speak, speak, speak)
No feedback anywhere
And nobody's there
But I waited a bit too long
So it's hard for me to change
I grab everything I can
Everything I can
