What's To Do
What's To Do was one of Beatsteaks' first ever songs. According to some ancient forum-posts it may have even been THE first.Â
You may recognize the song under the name "Good For Me". Back in the early 00s, around the time Beatsteaks released Living Targets, the band put a bootleg called Beatsteaks Rarities onto their website. Despite most of it being live-songs, this song somehow managed to sneak it's way into the folder with the name mentioned above!
NOTE: Some time ago a full live version of What's To Do was available on YouTube. This has since been taken down.
[Verse 1]
I live every single day like the last day in my life
I got no shit, no sit, no trouble - got no wife
I think I get away, we don't do what the others say
Then I'm a lonely man with the price I had to pay
All the begging her to laugh belongs to me
Yes it's true and I am proud to say that's me
The will is mine and nothing takes up what I do
So every here and now and also tomorrow to
[Pre-chorus]
I need no bla bla bla
I really know what's to do
[Chorus]
You kept saying it's not good for me
But I tell you our way it is to be
You kept saying it's not good for me
But I tell you our way it is to be
[Verse 2]
All the years you spent between birth and death (birth and death)
We got sense and love - and with our will left
So the answer to the question what's to do
It's in yourself - so go out, believe in you
[Pre-chorus]
You need no bla bla bla
It's to know what to do to you
